The video works were produced during the Moving Image<\/strong> Art study module in Spring 2025. The study module is part of the Fine Art Lab study path\u00b4s curriculum of the Degree Programme in Media and Arts. TAMK \u2013 Tampere University of Applied Sciences is a full member of the Tampere Universities community in Finland. In our art studies, the emphasis is put on contemporary art and emerging technologies. The authors of these video works are fine art first-year-, and exchange students. The aim was to explore the practice of moving image within a contemporary fine art context by creating a short video work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Odotuksia, <\/strong>2025 4’41”
    Young people are lost in life while everyone else seems to know their way. They express their feelings through dance starting from a busy train station where everyone else already knows their destination in life, to the studio where they express their inner feelings and frustrations and finally finding their peace and being one with the nature.

      In the stillness and quiet of the COVID-19 pandemic, one person\u2019s solitude transforms into a profound journey of self-discovery and growth. Paired with melodic instrumentals and a poetic narrative, it unveils the intricate beauty of being alone and how we rediscover ourselves.

          A journey through the intimate rituals of grief \u2013 navigating memory, absence and the quiet spaces we retreat into, when language no longer suffices.

          • The Loudest Silence<\/strong>, 2025 10’01”
            Ethan lives a monotonous and lonely life, feeling invisible and stuck in a draining routine. When his best friend Ryan gets promoted, Ethan feels like even more of a failure, especially at the party where Ryan shines and he feels left out. Ethan quietly leaves, but Ryan notices and follows him, leading to a rare moment of vulnerability where Ethan admits he feels completely lost. Ryan reveals that his own life has also been tough, and the promotion is his only bright spot. They reminisce about their childhood and realize that, despite everything, they\u2019re not alone\u2014ending the story with a sense of hope and connection.
