The work explores the concept of finding routes through an urban environment. The notion of routes dictating location, direction, thought processes, inner and outer self, and production of artistic work directly integrating with the environment and cityscape of Lisboa, Portugal.

The effect of reversing the film provides an alternative view of the city, of conventional urban life, questioning our rituals and identities within a capital city. The medium of video questions that of liquid-reality; the city continues to live and breathe; video is considered one of the liveliest of documentary media, yet the video becomes sterile, captured in time as time moves on.
